1. Mountain Standard Time

Seven hours behind UTC, MST is the winter time of the Rocky Mountain region of the US and Canada and the year-round time of most of Arizona. Denver and Calgary use it from November to March; Phoenix uses it all year.
Example: Our Phoenix office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MST year-round.
Arizona opted out of daylight saving in 1968, preferring cooler, darker summer evenings. Canada's Yukon moved to permanent UTC−7 in 2020, and the Mexican state of Sonora also stays on MST. Malaysian sources sometimes use MST for Malaysia Standard Time (UTC+8), a different zone entirely.
2. Military sexual trauma

VA term for sexual assault or repeated threatening sexual harassment experienced during military service. The VA provides free treatment for MST-related conditions to eligible veterans and former members.
Example: The VA offers MST counseling even if you never reported the assault.
Treatment for MST-related conditions is available regardless of discharge status in many cases and does not require service connection or a documented report. Each VA medical center has an MST coordinator. Disability claims based on MST use relaxed evidence rules.
3. Master of Studies (MSt)

Postgraduate degree used by Oxford, where it is usually a nine-month taught course in the humanities, and by Cambridge, where it is a part-time program for working professionals. It is equivalent in level to an MA or MSc.
Example: He took Oxford's MSt in Creative Writing over two years while working full time.
Written M.St. The unusual title exists because Oxford and Cambridge reserve "MA" for their graduates' upgraded BA. Some Oxford MSt students continue straight into doctoral work, and the course can count toward later research degree requirements.
