Usage notes
The first event, held in Denver on November 12, 1993, was a one-night tournament with very few rules, won by Royce Gracie. Zuffa, owned by brothers Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta with Dana White as president, bought the struggling company in 2001. Endeavor acquired it in 2016 and in 2023 combined it with WWE to form TKO Group Holdings.
