SoH stands for State of health, an energy abbreviation.
Measure of a battery's current condition compared with when it was new, usually expressed as the percentage of original capacity it can still hold. SoH guides used-EV purchases, warranties and decisions on reusing batteries in second-life storage.
Example: The used car's battery report showed an SoH of 91% after 80,000 kilometers.
Usage notes
Many EV battery warranties guarantee about 70% capacity for eight years or 100,000 miles. Fleet data suggest most modern EV batteries degrade more slowly than early fears predicted. Batteries retired from cars at 70-80% SoH can serve years longer in stationary storage.
