| 2 | Dentur tales doses (give such doses) | Medical › Prescription |
1. Day-to-day
Sports · Basketball Abbreviations
Injury status for a player whose availability is assessed daily, usually because of a minor sprain or soreness. Fantasy apps and media show DTD beside the player's name.
Example: He's listed DTD with a sprained ankle and is questionable for Friday.
The NBA's official injury report uses Out, Doubtful, Questionable, Probable and Available, so DTD is mainly a media and fantasy label. It is also common in hockey and baseball coverage.
2. Dentur tales doses (give such doses) (dtd)
Medical · Prescription Abbreviations
Latin prescription phrase telling the pharmacist to dispense a stated number of identical doses, each prepared as written. It survives mainly in compounding traditions in Central and Eastern Europe.
Example: Rx: phenobarbital 15 mg, lactose q.s., M.f. pulv. d.t.d. No. 20.
Usually written "d.t.d." followed by "No." and the count. The phrase belongs to the classical structure of magistral prescriptions, alongside "M.f." (misce fiat, mix and make) and "S." (signa). It is essentially unknown in modern American prescribing.
