Game mode in which two teams compete to reach a target number of kills or the most kills before time runs out. A staple of shooters such as Call of Duty, Halo and Battlefield.

Team deathmatch is often recommended for beginners because there are no objectives to learn. It grew out of 1990s deathmatch in games like Doom and Quake. Its free-for-all counterpart is usually just called deathmatch or FFA.

2. Therapeutic drug monitoring

Measuring drug concentrations in blood to keep levels effective but safe, mainly for drugs with narrow therapeutic windows such as vancomycin, aminoglycosides, digoxin, lithium, phenytoin, valproate and transplant immunosuppressants like tacrolimus. Results are interpreted with dose timing, kidney function and clinical response.

Example: Tacrolimus trough 14.8, above target; TDM pharmacist recommends reducing the dose.

Timing is critical: trough levels are drawn just before a dose and peaks at a defined interval after. Vancomycin guidance updated in 2020 favors dosing to a target area under the curve (AUC) rather than trough alone. Many hospitals run pharmacist-led TDM services that adjust doses under protocol.
