LWB stands for Long wheelbase, an automotive abbreviation.
Version of a vehicle with a stretched distance between front and rear axles, giving more rear legroom in sedans or more cargo space in vans. Luxury sedans in China are often sold only in LWB form.
Example: The LWB Sprinter fits a full-size mattress in the back for our camper-van build.
Usage notes
Wheelbase affects ride comfort, turning circle and interior space. Chinese buyers' preference for chauffeur-driven rear seats has led makers such as BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz to build LWB versions specifically for that market. Vans and pickups are often offered in several wheelbases.
