FSD stands for Full Self-Driving, an automotive abbreviation.
Tesla's name for its most advanced driver-assistance software, which can steer, brake, change lanes and navigate city streets under driver supervision. Despite the name, it is classed as a Level 2 system requiring an attentive driver ready to take over.

Usage notes
Tesla now markets the product as "Full Self-Driving (Supervised)." Regulators, safety groups and courts have questioned whether the name misleads buyers about its capabilities, and NHTSA has opened investigations into crashes involving Tesla's driver-assistance systems.
