Italy's busiest airport and the hub of ITA Airways, located in Fiumicino on the coast about 30 kilometers southwest of central Rome.

ICAO code LIRF. The code comes from the town of Fiumicino rather than Rome. Named for Leonardo da Vinci, who sketched flying machines. ITA Airways replaced the bankrupt Alitalia in 2021. Rome's smaller Ciampino airport (CIA) serves low-cost carriers.
