ZOMG stands for Oh my God (exaggerated), a texting and chat abbreviation.
Ironic, exaggerated form of OMG, with a Z that began as a typo when pressing Shift. Used to mock overexcitement or to express mock hysteria.
Example: Zomg, they're bringing back the old menu next week!
Usage notes
A meme from mid-2000s gaming and forum culture, where typing quickly with Shift held down produced the extra Z. Used to make fun of overexcited posts. Rare today and mostly nostalgic.
