Glyburide carries the highest hypoglycemia risk because of its long-acting active metabolites, and the American Geriatrics Society Beers Criteria advise avoiding sulfonylureas as first- or second-line therapy in older adults. Sulfonylurea overdose causes recurring low blood sugar treated with octreotide in addition to glucose.
2. Sunday (Su)
