RGB stands for Red, green, blue, a consumer electronics abbreviation.

Additive color model in which red, green and blue light combine to create all displayed colors; every screen pixel is made of RGB subpixels. In PC hardware, "RGB" also refers to colorful programmable LED lighting on keyboards, fans and cases.

Example: The color is RGB 255, 87, 51 in the brand guide, which is #FF5733 in hex.

Usage notes

With 8 bits per channel, RGB displays can show about 16.7 million colors. The sRGB standard, created by HP and Microsoft in 1996, remains the default color space for the web and most monitors, while wider spaces such as DCI-P3 suit HDR content. Printing uses the subtractive CMYK model instead. Gamers joke that RGB lighting adds performance.
