1. Proverbs

Book of 31 chapters of wise sayings and instructions, traditionally attributed to King Solomon, on topics such as work, speech, family and wealth. It ends with a poem praising the capable wife and states that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge" (1:7).
Example: "Train up a child in the way he should go" is Prov. 22:6.
SBL writes Prov, and short forms use Prv. Sections are also credited to other sages, such as Agur and King Lemuel. Proverbs is one of the Bible's three main wisdom books, with Job and Ecclesiastes.
