Mini-ITX stands for Mini-ITX motherboard form factor, a computer hardware abbreviation.
Compact motherboard standard measuring 170 by 170 mm (6.7 by 6.7 inches) with a single expansion slot, used for small gaming PCs, home servers, media centers and embedded systems.
Example: My Mini-ITX build fits a full-size graphics card in a 10-liter case.
Usage notes
VIA Technologies introduced Mini-ITX in 2001 for low-power, fanless systems; enthusiast boards later added high-end chipsets. Most have only two memory slots and fewer SATA and M.2 connectors than larger boards. Smaller cousins include Nano-ITX and Pico-ITX. Small cases usually need SFX power supplies and careful cooler selection.
