G&S stands for Goods and services, an e-commerce & retail abbreviation.
PayPal payment type for buying items or paying businesses, which includes Purchase Protection for the buyer and charges the seller a fee, as opposed to sending money to friends and family.
Example: For buyer protection I only pay through PayPal G&S on marketplace deals.
Usage notes
Many resale groups require G&S for transactions with strangers. Sending payment for goods as "friends and family" (F&F) avoids the fee but removes buyer protection and breaks PayPal's terms for commercial sales, a common route for scams.
