FWW stands for Front-wheeled walker, a rehabilitation abbreviation.

Walker with two front wheels and two rear legs or glides, letting the user push it forward instead of lifting it. It is the most common walker issued after hip and knee surgery.

Example: Gait: 200 ft with FWW, SBA, step-to pattern, no LOB.

Usage notes

Also called a rolling walker or two-wheeled walker. Tennis balls or glides on the rear legs make it slide more smoothly. Proper height is set at the wrist crease with arms relaxed, giving about 20 to 30 degrees of elbow flexion when gripping.
