D/O stands for Delivery order, a logistics, supply chain & trade abbreviation.
Document issued by a carrier or its agent authorizing a terminal or warehouse to release cargo to the consignee or its trucker, after freight and charges are paid and the bill of lading is surrendered.
Example: Our broker emailed the D/O to the trucking company so they can pick up the container.
Usage notes
Truckers cannot collect import containers from many terminals without a valid D/O.
