CategoriesWriting & Everyday

VGUC stands for Very good used condition, a classified ad abbreviation also used in business.

Grades a used item between excellent (EUC) and good (GUC) used condition in resale listings, meaning it shows light wear but no significant flaws.

Example: Snow pants, kids' size 6, VGUC, slight pilling on the knees, $12.

Usage notes

Condition scales vary from seller to seller, so one person's VGUC may be another's EUC. Parent swap groups and resale apps commonly use the full ladder NWT, NWOT, EUC, VGUC, GUC and fair. Clear photos of worn areas help buyers judge for themselves.
