UAS stands for Unmanned aircraft system, a weapon and military equipment abbreviation also used in transportation.

Usage notes
Military UAS are classified in groups 1 to 5 by weight, altitude and speed. Counter-UAS (C-UAS) defense has become a major priority after drone attacks on bases. Small UAS (sUAS) are regulated by the FAA under Part 107 for civilian commercial use.
