RSP stands for Resource Specialist Program, a K-12 education abbreviation.
California special education service in which students with IEPs spend most of the day in general education and receive targeted support from a resource specialist, either in a resource room or in the general classroom. It is the most common service model for students with learning disabilities.
Example: He sees the RSP teacher for 45 minutes a day for math support.
Usage notes
Students needing more intensive support may be placed in a special day class (SDC). Resource specialists also consult with general education teachers on accommodations. Other states call similar services resource room or learning support.
