PgDn stands for Page Down key, a computer abbreviation.

Navigation key that moves content down by one screen at a time, handy for long documents, spreadsheets and terminal output. Ctrl+PgDn moves to the next tab or worksheet in many applications, including browsers and Excel.

Example: Hit PgDn to jump to the next screen of the log file.

Usage notes

Also printed as PgDown or Page Dn. Holding Shift with PgDn extends a text selection one screen at a time. On keyboards with a numeric keypad, the 3 key doubles as PgDn when Num Lock is off. In the Unix pager less, the space bar performs the same job, a habit carried over from older terminals.
