ONNX stands for Open Neural Network Exchange, an artificial intelligence abbreviation.
An open format for representing machine learning models so they can move between frameworks, such as from PyTorch to an optimized runtime on phones, servers or browsers.
Example: Export the PyTorch model to ONNX and run it with ONNX Runtime on the edge device.
Usage notes
Launched by Microsoft and Facebook in 2017 and now hosted by the Linux Foundation. ONNX Runtime, from Microsoft, accelerates inference across CPUs, GPUs and specialized chips. Pronounced "on-ix".
