Designation showing that a business is a corporation, a legal entity separate from its shareholders that can own property, sign contracts and sue or be sued in its own name. In the United States, Inc. is one of the endings state laws accept for corporations, alongside Corp., Co. and Ltd.
Example: Apple Inc. dropped "Computer" from its name in 2007 to reflect its broader product range.
Usually written with a period, and AP style omits the comma before it (Apple Inc.). Shareholders' liability is limited to their investment. Inc. is also used in Canada and the Philippines, and in Australia for incorporated associations, a nonprofit form. Delaware is the most popular US state of incorporation for large companies, home to about two-thirds of the Fortune 500.

One of India's oldest and largest political parties, founded in 1885, which led the independence movement and governed India for most of the decades after 1947. It is now the main opposition party at the national level.
Example: The INC leader addressed a rally in Kerala ahead of the state election.
Leaders associated with it include Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. It led coalition governments as the United Progressive Alliance from 2004 to 2014. It is usually called simply "Congress" in Indian media.

Quick warnings like "inc" were vital in early MMORPG battlegrounds and remain common in League of Legends and Dota 2, where ping systems now automate many of them. In business, Inc. means incorporated, a completely different context.
