England replaced its ICT school subject with "computing" in 2014 to put more emphasis on programming. The International Telecommunication Union publishes ICT statistics, such as internet and mobile-broadband adoption, for nearly every country. In the United States, "IT" is more common for the same idea.

Shared by Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, Indochina Time is seven hours ahead of UTC all year. Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Penh keep the same clock as western Indonesia.

None of these countries observes daylight saving. Thailand officially calls its time Thailand Standard Time, though ICT is the usual international label. In other contexts ICT means information and communications technology, a common term in schools and development reports.
