H1N1 stands for Influenza A virus subtype H1N1, an infectious disease abbreviation.

Example: Strain typing: influenza A H1N1 pdm09; continue oseltamivir.
Usage notes
The WHO declared the 2009 "swine flu" pandemic in June of that year. The 1918 pandemic, which killed tens of millions, was also caused by an H1N1 virus. Influenza A subtypes are written as H#N#, with 18 known hemagglutinin and 11 neuraminidase types. Pronounced "H-one-N-one".
