CSB stands for Christian Standard Bible, a religious term abbreviation.
English translation published in 2017 by Holman Bible Publishers, part of Lifeway, which is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. It revised the Holman Christian Standard Bible and aims for "optimal equivalence" between accuracy and readability.
Example: The new CSB pew Bibles arrived in time for Easter.
Usage notes
The CSB dropped some distinctive HCSB choices, such as frequent use of the name "Yahweh". It is widely used in Southern Baptist churches and Lifeway curriculum. A team of about 100 scholars worked on the translation.
