ALLM stands for Auto Low Latency Mode, a consumer electronics abbreviation.

HDMI 2.1 feature that lets a game console or PC tell a TV to switch automatically into its game mode, turning off picture processing that adds input lag, and to switch back when a movie app starts.

Example: With ALLM enabled, the TV jumps into game mode as soon as the Xbox starts a game.

Usage notes

Picture enhancements such as motion smoothing and noise reduction can add 50 milliseconds or more of delay, which is noticeable in fast games; game mode cuts this sharply. ALLM is supported by recent consoles and most mid-range and premium TVs. Some TVs show it as part of a "gaming hub" or "instant game response" setting.
