Usage notes
SBL writes 2 Kgs, and short forms use the same letters. Older Catholic Bibles, following the Vulgate and Septuagint, call it 4 Kings. The book ends with the exiled king Jehoiachin released from prison in Babylon, a hopeful note for exiles.
