TTM stands for Trailing twelve months, a finance abbreviation.
Most recent twelve-month period of financial data, regardless of fiscal year end, usually built from the last four quarterly reports. It gives an up-to-date annual figure for revenue, earnings or cash flow.
Example: The stock trades at 22 times TTM earnings but only 17 times next year's consensus estimate.
Usage notes
TTM figures are calculated by adding the latest year-to-date results to the last full fiscal year and subtracting the prior year's comparable year-to-date period. Financial websites show TTM P/E and TTM dividend yield by default. LTM means the same thing and is preferred in investment banking.
