Vietnam's busiest airport, located within Ho Chi Minh City about 6 kilometers north of the center. It is a hub for Vietnam Airlines and VietJet.

ICAO code VVTS. The code comes from Saigon, the city's name before 1976. During the Vietnam War, Tan Son Nhat was one of the busiest airfields in the world. The new Long Thanh International Airport is being built to relieve it.
