Ingredient lists use pkg for items called for by the commercial package rather than by measure, such as cream cheese, frozen spinach, yeast or gelatin. Careful recipes add the weight in parentheses because package sizes change over time.
Example: Thaw 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
Plural is pkgs or pkg. Older recipes that say "1 pkg cake mix" can misbehave today because many US boxes shrank from 18.25 oz to about 15.25 oz during the 2010s. A standard US packet of active dry yeast holds 1/4 oz, about 2 1/4 teaspoons, a conversion bakers use when buying yeast in jars.
2. Package installer file (PKG)

Installer package format used on macOS to install software that needs system components or administrator privileges, opened by Apple's Installer app. PlayStation consoles also use a different PKG format for game installers.
Example: The printer driver comes as a PKG, so macOS asks for your password during installation.
macOS flat packages, introduced in 2007, can run scripts before and after installation, so they should come from trusted, notarized developers. Unlike drag-to-install DMG apps, PKG installs can place files in many system locations; the pkgutil command lists what a package installed. Solaris and some BSD systems use unrelated formats with the same extension.
3. Parking

Indicates parking availability in rental and real estate listings, as in "off-street pkg" or "pkg included." In big cities parking can add substantially to the rent.
Example: Studio near downtown, utilities incl., pkg available for $150 a month extra.
Listings distinguish off-street spaces, garage spots and permit-based street parking. A number of US cities have removed minimum parking requirements for new buildings, so fewer new apartments come with a space. In grocery and shipping contexts, pkg. means package.
