IMHO stands for In my humble opinion, a texting and chat abbreviation.
Presents an opinion with mock modesty, common on forums, in reviews and in work chat. The "humble" is frequently ironic, since the opinion that follows is often strong.
Example: IMHO the sequel is better than the original.
Usage notes
Dates to Usenet in the 1980s and early 1990s. Readers often interpret it as tongue-in-cheek. Variants include IMNSHO (in my not-so-humble opinion) and IMHO's plainer sibling IMO. Acceptable in casual professional chat.
