HAGS stands for Have a great summer, a texting and chat abbreviation.
Traditional end-of-year message in American school yearbooks, usually written next to a signature as "HAGS!" or "hags, stay cool." Students may write it dozens of times in the last week of school.

Usage notes
A staple of middle school and high school yearbooks, along with KIT (keep in touch) and "stay cool." Adults sometimes post it nostalgically in June. Rarely used outside the school context, and largely unknown in countries without American-style yearbooks.
