Germany's foreign intelligence agency, Bundesnachrichtendienst, which gathers intelligence abroad and reports to the Federal Chancellery. Its headquarters moved from Pullach near Munich to Berlin in 2019.

Founded in 1956, it grew out of the Gehlen Organization, a US-sponsored network led by a former Wehrmacht intelligence officer.
