10-K stands for Form 10-K (annual report), a stock market & investing abbreviation.

Comprehensive annual report that US public companies must file with the SEC, including audited financial statements, a business description, risk factors and management's discussion and analysis. It is far more detailed than the glossy annual report mailed to shareholders.

Example: The risk factors section of the 10-K warns that 40 percent of revenue comes from a single customer.

Usage notes

Large accelerated filers must file within 60 days of fiscal year-end, accelerated filers within 75 days and others within 90 days. The CEO and CFO must certify it under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Foreign private issuers file Form 20-F instead. Pronounced "ten-K."
