Usage notes
A separate CSU campus, Cal Poly Pomona, also uses the name, and Cal Poly Humboldt joined the polytechnic family in 2022. In 2025 the California State University Maritime Academy merged into Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The campus is often called "Cal Poly SLO".
