Founded on February 8, 1957, in Khartoum, Sudan, by Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan and South Africa; South Africa was soon excluded over apartheid and readmitted in 1992. Headquartered near Cairo. Also known by its French name, Confédération Africaine de Football. Pronounced "kaf" or as letters.
